Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in New Castle, Delaware. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; transportation facility; transportation facility; and water / sewer project.
The Base Bid work generally consists of, but is not limited to, the demolition of several concrete floor slabs to 18" below the original slab elevation, asphalt paving, removal of disconnected utilities, installation of temporary soil erosion and sediment control devices, and the removal of a grease trap, transformer pad, dumpster pad and enclosure, and traffic signs and foundations. The Additive Alternate No. 1 work generally includes, but is not limited to, excavation and paving, modifying existing drainage inlets, cleaning of existing drainage inlets, installation of temporary soil erosion and sediment control devices, removal and turfing of existing pavement area adjacent to US-13, and the installation of wood poles and luminaires for parking area lighting. The participation goal for certified Minority-Owned, Women-Owned, or Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (collectively, "M/W/DBEs") is 6.6% of the total value of the contract.
