New Castle County's Department of Community Services is seeking bids for home repairs under the County's Home Repair Programs. The County administers 3 home repair programs for residents of New Castle County, the Emergency, Senior and Architectural Accessibility Repair Programs. The repairs under the Emergency Home Repair Program should not exceed $20,000.00 per household. In the event that estimated repairs exceed $20,000, approval must be obtained from the Department of Community Services Loan Review Board. Repairs under the Senior Repair Program cannot exceed $12,500.00 per household. There is no exception to this limit. Under the Architectural Accessibility Repair Program repairs should not exceed $5,000.00 per household. In the event that estimated repairs exceed $5,00.00, approval must be obtained from the Department of Community services Loan Review Board. In all cases, vendors must receive prior written approval from the Department of Community Services before beginning any work.
