Site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Atlanta, Georgia. Design plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

As of December 12, 2024, a final selection / award has been announced by the owner. A timeline for construction has not been determined. Closed solicitation has been included below for reference. ............ Deadline for written questions/requests for clarification (see Section 6). 3/25/24 4:00pm ,Questions about any aspect of the RFQ, or the project, shall be submitted in writing (email is preferable) to: John J. DuConge, RA Georgia Institute of Technology | Infrastructure & Sustainability Office of Planning, Design & Construction 151 6th Street NW Atlanta, Georgia 30332-0351. Deadline for response to questions/requests for clarification 4/2/24 5:00pm The bridge should easily and safely connect pedestrians, cyclists and micro-mobility users from Georgia Tech's main campus with access points at or near the John Lewis Student Center and Stamps Student Center Commons, the future Arts Square (to be developed on the former Randall Brothers site), the North Avenue Research Area (NARA), and culminate at an established, abovegrade landing currently under construction at Science Square that connects to the Westside Beltline spur at the ground plane. As such, additional interventions (elevators, switchbacks, and additional stairwells) will be required to address universal access and public safety concerns at multiple points along the WCCB. Overall, the bridge is estimated to be approximately 1,400 feet in length with anticipated spans of up to 170 ft, dependent on the existing conditions and terrain below. The following bridge segments will be used as planning references: 1) Science Square to NARA; 2) NARA to Arts Square; and 3) Arts Square to John Lewis Student Center/Stamps Commons.
