Renovation of an educational facility in West Point, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Reflooring for: West Point Elementary School 1701 E 12th Street, West Point, GA 31833 The proposed budget is $2,300,000.00. All work is expected to be completed by August 1, 2024. No proposal may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after proposals are submitted Proposals shall include: a) the completed Competitive Sealed Proposal Form b) the signed Bid Form c) the Bid Bond d) The "Contractor Affidavit and Agreement demonstrating compliance with O.C.G.A. 13-10-91, Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act and e) affidavits demonstrating compliance with O.C.G.A. Bid bond in the amount of five percent of the base bid is required and must be submitted with the bid. A bid bond is the only acceptable form of bid security. No personal checks, cashier's checks, certified checks or cash will be accepted in lieu of the bid bond. Performance and payment bonds in the amount of one-hundred percent (100%) of the contract sum will be required prior to commencement of construction. The procedures for public works construction contracts as established by the Georgia Local Government Public Works Construction Law, O.C.G.A., 36-91-1 shall be followed. Proposals will be evaluated privately by the committee. Bids will not be publicly read out loud. Final selection will be made in accordance with the policies and administrative directives of the School System and any other statutory provisions. This project requires the contractor to follow the provisions of the Davis-Bacon Labor Standards, which include the provisions of the Davis-Bacon Act, the Copeland "Anti-Kickback" Act, the prevailing wage provisions of the Davis-Bacon "related Acts" and the Department of Labor regulations at 29 CFR Parts 1, 3 and 5, apply to the construction contract for this project All bonds shall be written by a surety licensed to conduct business in Georgia, listed on the Federal Register and acceptable to the Owner. The school system is not liable for any costs incurred by any person or firm responding to this Request for Proposal.
