The City of Bloomington requires all Bidders/Consultants doing business with the City not to discriminate on the basis of race, age, color, religion, gender, ancestry, national origin, marital status, mental or physical disability unrelated to ability, familial status or sexual orientation. Contractors shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12) including Public Act 100-1177 effective June 1, 2019. Question Deadline 04/05/2024 at 12:00 PM CT Project consists of a new office, and vehicle and equipment storage building located at 24201 Camp Peairs Rd, Hudson, IL 61748 for the City of Bloomington Water Department - Lake Maintenance Division. Contractor will be responsible for obtaining an Illinois Licensed Architect's sealed set of plans so all applicable City of Bloomington and Mclean County building permits can be obtained that are required. Use of an outside consultant may be necessary for preparation of permit documents. The Contractor is required to coordinate submittal and drawing reviews with the City staff and the architect. The ultimate responsibility for approval of the plans and obtaining the permits is with the Contractor/Architect. Please carefully read through the Scope of Work, specifications, and Building Concept plan attached. All questions must go through OpenGov. Please also remember that a hard copy of your bid bond must be received before the bid opening. Base Bid will be inclusive of all work and requirements listed in the specifications. Bids will be valid for 90 days following the bid opening. Bid must be accompanied by a Bid guaranty which shall not be less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the Bid. Bid guaranty may be a cashier's check, money order, certified bank check, or a surety bond. All guaranties, except surety bonds, will be deposited and reimbursement checks and surety bonds will be issued to unsuccessful bidders following the bid award. The successful bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount equal to 100% of the contract price, within ten (10) business days after the bid award.
