Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Kalida, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; and water / sewer project.
As of April 17,2024 the project was awarded to Hohenbrink Excavating, LLC with the amount of $442,952.41 The proposed work consists of approximately 4,023 SY of full depth road reconstruction, 2,588 LF of curb & gutter and 500 LF of storm sewer & incidentals. Engineer's Base Bid Cost Estimate is $500,000. for a payment and performance bond for 100% of the contract price. The Village of Kalida reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive all informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the work. Q/A- All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. With the exception ofsome pipe utility work the road construction work cannot begin until August 1,2024, and be substantially completed either within 90 days ofstarting construction and/or before October 24,h, 2024, whichever comes first and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 14.07 ofthe General Conditions on or before October 31st, 2024.
