The Municipality of Anchorage is requesting proposals from qualified Contractors for the facility management and operation of the Harry J. McDonald Center. Proposers will be required to submit proposals for contract packets in accordance with the requirements of the RFP document. The successful proposer with the highest overall score will be invited to negotiate a contract for the performance of the facility and operation management of the Harry J. McDonald Center. The Contractor will have the broad authority to manage and operate the facility in accordance with municipal codes and Public Facility Advisory Commission (PFAC) recommendations associated with each. Contractor will be responsible to manage the facility to include asset management, preventive maintenance, cleanliness and safety, as well as budget for improvements and capital projects and equipment. The Contractor will also be responsible for operations to include customer service, cash handling operations, maintaining staffing to assist with operational functions, hosting events and programs for the community, generating sustainable recreational services for the community, acquiring equipment and supplies for operations, remaining in compliance with all safety procedures and inspections, and keeping the facility in the highest standards of operations. The new contract is anticipated to commence effective no more than 60 days after being awarded. The new contract will consist of a base year (zero) and four (4) additional option years that may be exercised for a possible total of five (5) years.
