Construction Manager at Risk project is on hold. The City of Newton (City), pursuant to Iowa Code Chapter 26A, will be publishing a request for statements of qualifications (RFQs) for Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) services to provide Pre-construction and Construction services for its proposed Westwood Clubhouse Building project in the City of Newton. The project is located at 3387 Hwy F-48 W, Newton, IA 50208. The CMR will be engaged using a two-step solicitation process: (1) Request for Qualifications and (2) Request for Proposals. The firms deemed to have met the qualifications based on the following selection criteria will then be offered the opportunity to submit a proposal to serve as CMR for the project: 1. Proposed Methodology April 3, 2024: Issuance of request for qualifications April 24, 2024: Statements of Qualifications due before 10:00 AM May 1, 2024: Issue request for proposal to qualified respondents May 15, 2024: Request for proposals due before 10:00 am CDT May 15-28, 2024: Proposals ranked in relation to the selection criteria June 3, 2024: Tentative contract award by City Council November 30, 2024: Substantial completion of building shell, including HVAC
