In accordance with the plans and specifications, this work shall consist of removing damaged road surface asphalt and replacing with new asphalt pavement on various cul-de-sacs and stem roads in Maintenance Zone 4. Once work on a culde-sac begins, the contractor shall complete that cul-de-sac and stem road in 1 weeks' time. The work on Kerr Street shall be completed in 2 weeks' time. The work shall be completed in its entirety on or before September 10, 2024. The completion dates are predicated on the intent of ACHD to issue a Notice to Proceed to the Contractor on or about May 2, 2024. ACHD shall be entitled to Liquidated Damages of $1,250 for each calendar day of delay in the completion of the work. A delay on one portion of the project does not justify delays on other portions of the project. Proposals must be accompanied by an original or photocopy or electronic version, e.g. PDF, FAX, etc. of certified check, cashier's check, or a bid bond (collectively referred to hereafter as "Bid Security") issued by a surety authorized to issue such bonds in the State of Idaho, in an amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the proposal submitted. The right is reserved to reject all proposals or reject any proposal not conforming to the intent and purpose of the Contract Documents whenever such action appears to be in the best interest of ACHD. Award of a contract pursuant to this invitation may be delayed, without penalty, for up to sixty (60) calendar days after the date of bid. Expected Contract Bonding Requirement: $725,000
