The work generally involves lining of approximately forty-three hundred (4,300) linear feet of eight (8) inch and ten (10) inch sanitary sewer lines by the CIPP lining process by the installation of a resin-impregnated, flexible felt tube that is inverted into the existing sewer line by utilizing a hydrostatic head or air pressure. Curing shall only be accomplished by circulating hot water or steam within the tube to cure the resin into a hard impermeable cured-in-place pipe. When cured, the new liner material should extend over the entire length of the inversion in a continuous tight fitting, watertight manner and shall provide a minimum of 110% of the full pipe capacity. RFPs submitted which include slip-lining, fold-and-form, or other methods of pipe rehabilitation, requiring the new pipe liner to be 'pulled' through the sewer line will not be accepted as equal.
