Demolition and site work for a residential development in Carbondale, Illinois. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
Bid security in the form of a certified bank check or bank draft payable to the City of Carbondale or a satisfactory bid bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid price, as specified in Section 2-7 of the General Conditions and The City of Carbondale's Policy for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise and/or Workforce Participation Goals in Contracts are required to be submitted with the bid. This Project is also subject to the State of Illinois Job Works Jobs Program Act and the Illinois Works Apprentice Initiative. Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820ILCS 130/1-12). No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days subsequent to the opening of the bids without consent of the City of Carbondale. This Project is also subject to the State of Illinois Job Works Jobs Program Act and the Illinois Works Apprentice Initiative. The Contract shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder complying with the provisions of this Invitation for Bids. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informality or technicality in any proposal in the interest of the City.
