Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Calgary, Alberta. Conceptual plans call for site work for a clubhouse / community center; for the construction of a clubhouse / community center; fitness / recreation center; and playground / park / athletic field.
Plans call for a new Events Centre to be located in South Springbank, at Huggard Rd. & Range Rd. 33 in Rocky View County (SW 27-24-3 W5M). Project is expected to include: Phase 1 - Community Event Centre, Studio, and multi-purposed rooms - 200-seat banquet style capacity - approx. 15,000 sq. ft. (Total capital cost $7.7 million). Phase 2 - Indoor Turf Field and 3-lane walking track - approx. 37, 920 sq. ft. (Total capital cost $18.2 million). Phase 3 - Park Event area for civic events, arts performance, festivals and gatherings - approx. 25 acres (Total capital cost $18.6 million) TIMELINE: RFP from engineering consultants has been awarded. The engineering consultant is to develop a site plan and to prepare a construction cost estimate for site works and servicing. Schedules for building design and construction are subject to funding approval; design work may be planned for 2025. Further update fall 2024. *A business case was completed by HarGroup Management Solutions (2022).
