Reference Number 0000266876 Question Acceptance Deadline 2024/04/10 02:00:00 PM MDT Prequalification of General Contractors and Construction Management Services This Request for Prequalification (RFPQ) is directed to licensed Proponents to provide General Contracting and/or Construction Management Services to seek prequalified status with the University of Calgary (hereinafter referred to as "University"). The Proponent will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of construction sites, management of subcontractors and trades and the communication of information to all involved parties throughout the course of construction. The purpose of this prequalification is to prequalify Proponents to provide general contracting and/or construction management services for capital construction projects valued at under $5,000,000 at the University of Calgary. Through this prequalification process, Proponents will demonstrate to the University that they have the necessary financial capacity, construction expertise, managerial ability, project track record success and relevant experience to provide specific construction services. Typical projects will involve renovations, new builds and preconstruction services for a variety of different space uses including, but not limited to lecture theatres, classrooms, research and teaching labs, washrooms, base building infrastructure, multi-unit housing renovations, washrooms, office renewals, tenant fit-outs and site work. The majority of projects will be delivered by tender (under the terms of a stipulated sum contract) and in some cases the University may request Proponents to perform the work of a Construction Manager for services and work. The University, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to reject a Bid Submission, or suspend, revoke or terminate the Proponent's prequalification status in whole or in part.
