The City of Avon Park is seeking bids, from qualified roofing contractors that have been in business at least ten years, to provide all necessary labor and material to remove and dispose of the existing roofs and install new roofs of the same kind at the Avon Park Recreation Center located at 207 E. State Street, Avon Park, FL 33825. Except as otherwise specifically stated in the contract, the Contractor shall provide and pay for all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and transportation of every nature and all other services and facilities of every nature whatsoever, necessary to execute, complete, and deliver the work within the specified time. Permits and licenses necessary for the execution of work shall be secured by the Contractor, and fees shall be accounted for in the total bid price. All supplies and material shall be new. All materials shall match the existing color. Bonds: A (5%) five percent bid bond or security will be required as well as a (100%) one hundred percent payment and performance bond(s). The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, for any reason whatsoever, to waive minor irregularities and technicalities, and to request resubmission. Also, the City reserves the right to accept all or any part of the bid and to increase or decrease quantities to meet additional or reduced requirements of the City. Any sole response received by the submission date may or may not be rejected by the City depending on available competition and current needs of the City. All questions shall be directed to Andy Mogle in writing and will be accepted for addenda until Friday, April 12, 2024 at 4:00 PM in order to provide sufficient time for the City to respond appropriately to addenda. The failure of a Bidder to submit acknowledgement of any addendum that affects the bid price(s) may be considered an irregularity and may be cause for rejection of the bid.
