Renovation of an educational facility in Winchester, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The project is generally described as the removal and disposal of two 50 ton split air-cooled chillers with associated pumps and piping. And furnish and install one new 100t packaged air-cooled chiller with associated pumps, piping, and controls in the Dowell J. Howard Center. A Bid Bond and Contract Security will be required of all bidders regardless of amount. Bidders shall be required to bind their bid for sixty (60) days. The contract for the project shall be awarded on a lump sum basis of the Base Bid plus such Alternates as the Owner in its sole discretion decides to award. Bidder's attention is directed to the requirements of Title 54, Chapter 11, of the Code of Virginia pertaining to registration of Contractors. The forms "Compliance with Virginia Law for Transacting Business in Virginia" and "Direct Contact with Students" found at the end of specification section 00 42 00 Bid Form shall be completed and included with the Bid submittal. In accordance with Code of Virginia 2.2-4343.1, the Owner does not discriminate against faith-based organizations, nor does it discriminate against a bidder or offeror because of race, religion, color, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other basis prohibited by state law relating to discrimination in employment.
