The Proposed Project For The Town Of Smithville Includes 8,982 Linft Of Cured-in-place Pipe Lining Of Existing Sewer Line. Additive Alternate No. 1 Includes Smoke Testing 8,982 Linft Of Sewer Line Post Cipp Lining And Repair Of Identified Service Line Deficiencies. Additive Alternate No. 2 Includes Aeration Piping Replacement Of The Existing Aeration Diffuser Grids Located At The Town's Wastewater Treatment Lagoon. Additive Alternate No. 3 Includes Replacement Of The Existing Aeration Diffuser Grid Frames Located At The Town's Wastewater Treatment Lagoon. Bidder hereby agrees to commence work under this Contract on or before a date to be specified in written Notice to Proceed of the Owner and to fully complete the Project within 180 consecutive calendar days thereafter as stipulated in the Specifications A Certified Check Or Bank Draft, Payable To The Order Of The "town Of Smithville" Negotiable U.s. Government Bonds (At Par Value), Or A Satisfactory Bid Bond Executed By The Bidder And An Accepted Surety, In An Amount Equal To Five Percent (5%) Of The Total Of The Bid Shall Be Submitted With Each Bid. The Successful Bidder Will Be Required To Furnish A Payment Bond And Performance Bond Each In The Amount Of 100 Percent Of The Contract Amount. This Project Is Financed By A Community Development Block Grant And Is Subject To The Rules And Regulations Thereof. The Build America, Buy America Act, Which Was Implemented On May 14, 2022 Applies To This Project. The Successful Bidder Must Comply With Section 3 Of The Hud Act Of 1968 And Its Associated Regulations (24 C.f.r., Part 75).
