Demolition, site work and addition to a municipal facility in Gracefield, Quebec. Design plans call for the addition of a 10,000-square-foot, one-story above grade municipal facility; for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
Expansion work at the organization's head office, located at 7 rue de la Polyvalente, Gracefield (QC) J0X 1W0. The main objective of this project is to house around fifty MRC employees in the same building through expansion and development work. The building must also be able to accommodate meetings of the MRC Council where 18 elected officials and approximately 4 employees sit, in addition to accommodating a potential audience for public sessions. The different rooms required inside the building are presented in the tender document entitled "Preliminary study (feasibility)" and include in particular: A desk for every white-collar employee; Meeting room; A room for MRC Council meetings; A meeting room adjacent to the Council room; A vault; A documentary room; A mechanography room; A rest/dining room; A kitchenette; A reception; Cloakroom; About six bathrooms; A housekeeping room; A mechanical and electrical room; A server room. The mandate also provides for the development of outdoor parking at the rear of the building. The MRC also aims to promote universal accessibility for access to the building. TIMELINE: Project is dependent on funding. Tender for general contractor and construction schedules are undetermined. Further update in spring, 2026. Note: square footage is to be confirmed.
