Demolition and site work for a municipal facility in Yuma, Arizona. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

Scope of Work: Demolition Requirements and Specifications Yuma County Facilities Management seeks to engage qualified general contractors to assist with the proper demolition of two (2) vacant buildings in downtown Yuma, located at 217 S. 2nd Avenue, Yuma, Arizona 85364. Demolition work will include the demolition and removal of buildings, foundations, a metal carport, and paving as well as grading the lot for proper water drainage. Demolition and all related work must be completed by June 30, 2024. The successful respondent shall be referred to herein as the "Contractor." Please review the Asbestos Inspection Report by Nicklaus Engineering, Inc. (NEI Project 022-0110) for reference as a part of this RFP. Proposal Instruction The pre-proposal conference shall be all day (8 AM to 5 PM) on the date specified in Attachment A and will allow for a walk through of the building. Each contractor is responsible for bringing tools and ladders that they need for their inspections. The contractor must verify all measurements and construction materials. Take note that no architectural or engineering drawings are provided, the contractor is responsible for making their best judgment. Please include in your proposal the cost and duration of the project. As a reminder, a proposal bond is required. Summary This Scope of Work includes the following components with respect to the Property: 1. Include City of Yuma requirements for obtaining a permit for demolition, dust control, abatement and traffic control, as well as any other requirements for properly disposing of any hazardous materials. The Contractor shall properly dispose of all materials according to state and local regulations. 2. All equipment and materials in the building are the property of the Contractor. Yuma County Facilities Management is not salvaging equipment that is present during the pre-proposal conference. 3. The Contractor shall coordinate utility disconnection with the utility provider. It is the responsibility of the contractor to terminate/cap the sewer, water and electrical at the point of connection with the provider. 4. The property shall be fenced off from the time construction begins until all equipment is removed and the project is complete. The construction work schedule shall be adjusted to before or after standard business hours if excessive dust or traffic will be present. 5. Include the cost for trash containment/bin and haul off. 6. Include the costs for adding construction signs per OSHA, state and local regulations. 7. After demolition, grade as required by state and local regulations. Preferably, use fill dirt to ensure proper drainage out and away from the property. 8. The final outcome will be an empty compacted dirt lot with no trip hazards. 9. For project close-out and final payment, include any pertinent pictures, permitting documentation and contractual documents. RFI Deadline3/25/2024 at 5:00 PM
