Dustin Prescott Raw Water Main Cleaning INTRODUCTION Town of Mansfield is hereby soliciting sealed bids from qualified Contractors to clean the raw water mains from Prescott Wells #8 & #9 to the Dustin-Prescott Water Treatment Facility located generally at 500 Rear East Street in Mansfield, MA. Equipment shall be provided as specified in the "Product Specification" section of this RFB. The lowest responsive and responsible bidder shall be awarded a Contract. SCOPE The work includes, but is not limited to, labor, material and equipment, services required for cleaning of 8" and 12" raw water mains from Prescott Wells #8 and #9 to the Dustin-Prescott Water Treatment Facility located generally at 500 Rear East Street in Mansfield, MA. The lengths of pipe are as follows: o 1,200 LF of 8" pipe from Well #9 to the 8" by 12" tee. o 200 LF of 8" pipe from Well #8 to the 8" by 12" tee. o 1,540 LF of 12" pipe from the 8" by 12" tee to the Dustin-Prescott Treatment Facility. The work also includes post-cleaning video inspection of the water mains and all incidentals and related work. Bidder to note that the Whenever a manufacturer/supplier/brand name is mentioned in this RFB, the naming of the item is intended to establish the type, function, performance and quality required.
