Repairing and Installing Bus boarding areas through out the district as well repairs to RTD facilities and infrastructure The estimated numbers of projects per calendar year include ten (10) street improvements. A work at each project site will be executed by a Work Order. Specific site details, as well as individual site drawings will be made available at the time the Work Orders are issued. Question Deadline: 04/03/2024 at 2:00 PM MT, Inquiry Period: Written questions from prospective bidders are to be received in the online . RTD sends responses to written questions, if any, to all prospective bidders through RTDs online April 10, 2024, 2:00pm. RTD anticipates making final selection. April 24, 2024 Subject to the Termination provision of the Contract, performance shall commence as of the date specified in the notice to proceed or, if no date is specified, upon Contractor's receipt of notice to proceed, and shall continue for 1 year (subject to the exercise of any option periods, if any indicated herein). If mailed, receipt of the notice to proceed is presumed to be five days after mailing RTD has not specified a DBE/SBE participation goal for the Work to be performed under the Contract. However, RTD encourages and expects bidders to pursue subcontracting, mentoring, joint venturing, teaming and partnering opportunities with DBE/SBE firms in the ordinary course of its business/teaming strategies. To date, RTD has achieved greater than 20% DBE/SBE participation on its overall FasTracks DBE/SBE Program. Bidders are encouraged and expected to create a level playing field to the maximum practicable extent consistent with the objectives and requirements of the RTD DBE/SBE program based on federal regulations codified at 49 CFR Part 26 and RTD's SBE Program Policy. The Bidder must enclose with the bid its bid security (e.g., Bidder's bond or certified check) in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount, which the Bidder agrees is to be paid to and become the property of RTD, as partial liquidated damages, should the bid be accepted and Contract awarded and the Bidder fails to enter into the Contract in the form prescribed and/or to furnish the required bonds and insurance certificates within ten days after Contract award. The successful bidder shall post with RTD, not later than ten days after Notice of Award, a performance bond, naming RTD as sole beneficiary, of *Fifty Percent (50%) of the Contract Cost in such form and with such sureties or guarantors as are satisfactory to RTD (e.g., American Institute of Architects (AIA) Forms A-311 (1970) or A-312 (1984)). This bond shall be executed to secure fulfillment of all the Contractor's obligations under the Contract, including the warranty provisions. The Contractor shall notify its sureties of any Contract changes. Issuance of this IFB does not commit RTD to award the Contract. RTD reserves the right to reject all bids and re-solicit or cancel this IFB if deemed by RTD to be in its best interest
