The general nature of the Work is as follows 1 of 2 It shall be the duty of each Bidder to submit his/her bid on or before the hour and date specified. Bids will be opened virtually and read aloud at 2:30 p.m., April 9, 2024. Sealed bids will not be accepted via electronic submission. Any bids received after 2:00 p.m., April 9, 2024 cannot and will not be considered. The Work includes removal of existing full-strength and shoulder pavements, removal of taxiway edge lights, centerline lights and signage, removal of underground electrical and drainage, marking obliteration; construction of approximately 26,000 SY of Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) taxiway pavement, new shoulder pavement, installation of aggregate base, underdrain and drainage improvements, grading, topsoiling, seeding, new airfield signage and infrastructure, new taxiway edge and centerline lights. A contract according to the General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, and Addendums (if applicable) shall be signed prior to work commencing. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check or surety bid bond, in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid for all bid schedules (including sales tax). A performance bond, payment bond, and liability insurance in accordance with the contract documents will be required for the Contract. This is a prevailing wage project per applicable State Law. Prospective Contractors are notified that the work under this Contract is funded in part by a grant from the Federal Aviation Administration and as such this solicitation and any resulting contract are subject to the requirements of Buy America Preference; Foreign Trade Restriction; Davis Bacon Act; Affirmative Action; Debarment and Suspension; Drug Free Workplace Act of 1988; and other federal requirements as identified in the Contract Documents.
