Site work for a water / sewer project in Gregory, South Dakota. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

In addition to all of the above-listed Federal requirements for work on this project, compliance with the contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, Executive Order 11375, Copeland Act, the Clean Air Act, and Water Pollution Control Act and subsequent amendments to all of the above will be required of contractors and/or subcontractors performing work on this project. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding and make awards to the Owner's best interest. Pursuant to State Law, a copy of the bidder's sales and use tax license and a copy of the bidder's excise tax license as issued by the State of South Dakota must accompany the bid. In lieu of a copy of the license, the bidder shall submit appropriate evidence that the bidder and all affiliates have the appropriate licenses. The approximate quantities mentioned above are subject to increase or decrease. It will be agreed by bidders that all quantities of work will be performed in accordance with the provisions of the plans and specifications and at the unit price bid. Bidders agree to furnish all labor, material, and equipment necessary to complete all the work as shown in the plans and specifications Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bank draft payable to the order of the City of Gregory, South Dakota, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. A bid bond in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid will be accepted in lieu of a certified check or bank draft. Surety for bid bond must be authorized to do business in the State of South Dakota. **Document note Upon request, one copy of the contract documents and plans will be furnished at no charge as required by SDCL 5-18B-1 to each contractor who is a South Dakota resident and who intends to bid the project The major elements associated with the construction of the Utilities Improvements are: o 14,500 LF 6" Water Main o 620 LF 8" Water Main o 23 Fire Hydrant Assemblies o 187 1 " Water Services o 5,500 LF 1" Water Service Line o 18,200 LF 8" Sanitary Sewer Main o 48 Sanitary Sewer Manholes o 280 Sanitary Sewer Services o 14,200 Tons of Asphalt Surfacing o 25,000 Tons of Milling and Salvage Existing Asphalt Surfacing and Base Course o 12,000 Tons of Contractor Furnished Base Course o 82,000 SY of Geotextile Fabric o 1,500 SF Concrete Sidewalk o 1,000 SY of 6" Concrete Valley Gutter o 700 SY of 6" Concrete Pavement o 100LF18"RCP o 70LF15"RCP Question Deadline 04/03/2024 Owner on its own initiative may issue Addenda to clarify, correct, supplement, or change the Bidding Documents. 7.02 Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer. in writing. Contact information and submittal procedures for such questions are as follows: 7.03 Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all registered plan holders. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
