Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Onalaska, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; and road / highway.
In general, the work consists of: removing existing concrete and asphalt, site grading, installing asphalt, sidewalk, curb and gutter, storm manhole, site restoration and miscellaneous items of work. The 2017-2019 Wisconsin State Budget (2017 Wisconsin Act 59) repealed Wisconsin's prevailing wage laws Effective September 23, 2017, state prevailing wage requirements on state building projects no longer apply. These changes take effect for projects advertised for bid after September 23, 2017. This change does not affect the Federal Davis Bacon Act requirements. This project contains Federal Funding that requires Contractors to meet federal requirements for all products and materials used on this project. Please refer to the General Requirements for Simplified Projects for guidance and reporting requirements regarding the Build America, Buy America (BABA) Act. A formal pre-bid tour will NOT be conducted for this project; however, a site visit is encouraged. The project site is located at 910 Oak Forest Dr., Onalaska WI, 54650-3471.
