Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Poplar, Montana. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

Base Bid a. The work generally consists of: Asphalt and concrete demolition including two handicap ramp to be removed, approximately 1,710 SY of concrete paving, two new handicap ramps, 1300 LF of header and catch curb, 1480 SF of sidewalk, striping and other miscellaneous parking lot improvements Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond payable to the OWNER, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. Successful bidders shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a labor and materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance, as required, shall be provided by the successful bidder(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided. No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for the bid opening. The Bidder is advised that the Owner is the Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes of the Fort Peck Indian Reservation, which is a federally-recognized Tribe, constructing the Project under a Contract with a Federal Funding Agency, and the Project will be within the exterior boundaries of the Fort Peck Indian Reservation, as set forth more fully in the Bid Form. Award of the Project will be contingent upon the Owner receiving funding from the Federal Funding Agency. The Project shall be conducted in accordance with all applicable Tribal, Federal, State, and local laws and Regulations. 1. Base Bid: a. The work generally consists of: Asphalt and concrete demolition including two handicap ramp to be removed, approximately 1,710 SY of concrete paving, two new handicap ramps, 1300 LF of header and catch curb, 1480 SF of sidewalk, striping and other miscellaneous parking lot improvements. The contract may be awarded based on the OWNER's best interests. The award will be based on the lowest cost combination of responsive, responsible bids, on the Base Bid and various Schedules, Alternatives, and Additive Alternate, as applicable, selected by the OWNER. Contract Time: 1. Base Bid: a. All construction schedules shall be substantially complete and ready for OWNER's use and pre-final inspection within 90 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed, or by Thursday, October 31, 2024, whichever is sooner. 2. All construction schedules shall be finally complete and ready for final payment within (30) calendar days of Substantial Completion.' Liquidated Damages: 1. The CONTRACTOR shall pay the OWNER $1,500, for each calendar day or part of a day that expires after the time specified for Substantial Completion of any construction schedule(s) until the Work is substantially complete. CONTRACTOR is required to have registered with the DLI prior to bidding on this project and all laborers and mechanics employed by the CONTRACTOR or Subcontractors in performance of the construction work shall be paid wages at rates as required by the Laws of the State the work is being performed. The CONTRACTOR must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Est. Completion Date: Oct. 31, 2024 The bid bond, a copy of the CONTRACTOR's license or certificate of renewal, and applicable funding requirement forms shall be included with each bid of proposal. All bids must be sealed. Funding agency notice, if applicable: 1. Reserved The following additional information, if applicable, shall be submitted in the CONTRACTOR's bid proposal unless otherwise specified:1. Reserved Pre-bid conference information: There will not be a pre-bid conference. (PRSP) No bid will be read or considered which does not fully comply with the above provisions as to Bond and Licenses, and any deficient bid submitted will be resealed and returned to the Bidder immediately. The OWNER reserves the right to hold all bids and bid securities for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days and to hold the three low bids and bid securities for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening. The OWNER may, in its sole discretion, release any Bid and return the Bid security prior to the end of these periods, waive any informality in any bid, and to reject the bid of any party who has been delinquent or unfaithful in the performance of any former contract with the OWNER.
