The Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority ("Authority") is currently accepting sealed
responses from qualified Bidders (a "Bidder") for the provision of services, as set forth in this
RFP #2024-OP01 PWP-WA-2024-263
The Authority, an independent governmental entity, was established in February 1959 as the
Washoe County Fair and Recreation Board. The Authority owns and/or operates the RenoSparks Convention Center, Reno Events Center, National Bowling Stadium, and the RenoSparks Livestock Events Center. The Authority is operating instrumentality in the Washoe
County area for promoting conventions, tourism, and outdoor recreation.
This bid is for removal of old score board, and installation of new Scoreboard at the
Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center. Bidder is responsible for complying with all applicable local, State and Federal wage laws,
whether or not specifically cited in this bid document.
Per NRS Sections 338.020 through 338.090, certain projects defined as "public works" require
the payment of the prevailing wage as determined by the Labor Commissioner. Generally
speaking, projects/contracts for construction of a public work valued at less than $100,000 are
exempt from the prevailing wage requirement (NRS 338.080). Bidder shall be fully aware of the
prevailing wage requirements of the State of Nevada as detailed in NRS Chapter 338 and price
their bid response accordingly, where applicable. Further information concerning Prevailing
