Interior alterations include nurse's suite upgrades at Deerfield Elementary School and Washington School, and restroom upgrades at Deerfield Elementary School, Millburn High School, South Mountain Elementary School and Wyoming Elementary School. Bids must be accompanied by bid security in the form of (1) a bid bond or certified or cashier's check payable to "Millburn Board of Education" equal to 10% of the amount of the bid, but in no case to exceed $20,000.00 pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-24, and (2) Certificate of Consent of Surety pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-25, obligating the issuing surety company to provide the bidder and its subcontractors, if successful, with a New Jersey Statutory Performance Bond and a New Jersey Statutory Payment Bond each in the full amount of the contract. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening date. Questions will be considered only up until the inquiry deadline stated in the Instructions to Bidders. The Millburn Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and/or to waive any informality in the bidding, or minor immaterial defects in any bid, as permitted by law, if in the best interest of the Board to do so. There will not be a pre-bid meeting for this project. All questions must be answered and the data given must be clear and comprehensive. This statement must be notarized. Questions may be answered on separate attached sheets. The Bidder may submit any additional information it desires. Question Deadline 04/29/2024 at 5:00 PM ET Should any error, omissions, inconsistencies, or obscure wording appear or occur in the Drawings and Specifications, or should there be any discrepancies between Drawings and Specifications, the Bidder shall, before submitting its bid, apply to the Architect in writing for an interpretation and determination of the intent of the Drawings and Specifications.
