Sealed Bids for the construction of the Lakewood Rd and Canal Rd Solar Lighting Improvements Project consists of the installation of 32 solar light fixtures inclusive of concrete base, pole, LED fixture, solar panel, restoration and associated incidental work for a complete working system. This is a Community Development Block Grant Federally funded from US HUD and administered through the Palm Beach County Department of Housing and Economic Development. Davis-Bacon Related Acts, including wage rates, will apply to all construction or performed on this project. Palm Beach County requires the use of an online Labor Compliance Reporting System for all contractors and subcontractors. Build America, Buy America Act 2 CFR Part 184 requirements apply. Section 3 requirements per 24 CFR Part 75 apply. Small, w omen-owned, minority, Section 3 companies, and or disadvantaged businesses are encouraged to bid on this project. The Grantee must comply with the requirements of the Build America, Buy America ( BABA) Act, 41 SC 8301 note, and all applicable rules and notices, as may be amended, if applicable to the Grantee's infrastructure project. Pursuant to HUD's notice, " Public Interest Phased Implementation Waiver for FY 2022 and 2023 of Build America, Buy America Provisions as Applied to Recipients of HUD Federal Financial Assistance" ( 88 FR 17001) , any funds obligated by HUD on or after the applicable listed effective dates, are subject to BABA requirements, unless excepted by a waiver.
