The project involves removing and lawfully disposing of debris generated by disasters (excluding hazardous materials and household garbage) from streets, roads, rights-of-way, and public property immediately after a hurricane, natural disaster, or other emergency event. Submit all questions to procurement@vpsfl.org before the deadline on June 21, 2024, at 5:00 PM. Each Bidder shall have a minimum of five (5) years' experience in disaster debris removal and haul-off services for emergency type projects. The project involves removing and lawfully disposing of debris generated by disasters (excluding hazardous materials and household garbage) from streets, roads, rights-ofway, and public property immediately after a hurricane, natural disaster, or other emergency event. The purpose of the Invitation to Bid (ITB) and subsequent contracting activity is to find an experienced contractor who can efficiently remove large volumes of disaster-generated debris from a wide area in a timely and cost-effective manner, and lawfully dispose of all the debris. The contractor should be able to organize, direct, and manage a workforce capable of completing the debris management operations within 90 days of receiving a Task Order from the Village, as further described in the scope of services. This is an acknowledgement that FEMA financial assistance will be used to fund the resulting contract. The selected bidder(s) shall perform all work in compliance with all applicable federal law, regulations, executive orders, FEMA policies, procedures, and directives in order to maximize recovery of reimbursable expenses. This shall include the provision of audit quality documentation as required by and acceptable to FEMA for all work accomplished.
