This project provides for the asphalt resurfacing of the Turnpike northbound and southbound lanes with superpave asphalt mixture. The project also provides concrete pavement patching, slab stabilization, installation of S.N.A.P.s, and pavement markings. Maintenance and protection of Turnpike traffic is also included. P.T.C. FORM 22-95-32R Milepost A-68.10 is located approximately 7.5 miles South of the Mahoning Valley Interchange, Exit 74, in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania and Milepost A-76.65 is located approximately 0.95 miles North of the Mahoning Valley Interchange, Exit 74, in Carbon County, Pennsylvania Work items include, but are not limited to: 27,758 TON Superpave Asphalt Mix, Wearing Course 25,149 TON Superpave Asphalt Mix, Binder Course 144,525 SY Milling of Asphalt Pavement Surface, To Existing Concrete Pavement 107,594 SY Milling of Asphalt Pavement Surface, 2" Depth 175,452 LF Permanent Preformed Patterned Reflective Pavement Markings (PPPRP) 71,206 EA Sonic Nap Alert Pattern (S.N.A.P.) 2,237 EA Barrier Mounted Delineators - Top & Side An electronic bid bond, from an approved vendor, with corporate surety, in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. The bid security of the three (3) low bidders will be retained until the execution of the contract. A Prequalification Certification and Applicable Capacity Rating assigned by the Prequalification Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is a necessary prerequisite for bidding on this project.
