The City of Palm Desert is accepting quotes for the interior architectural design and structural engineering services for the Portola Community Center. The building is designated Historic so, only the interior will be modified. There are three main components to the scope of work for this project: Assessment and Data Collection, Preliminary Design and Cost Estimate, and Final Design. Incorporated in 1973, the City operates under a council-manager form of government with a five-member City Council elected at large. Each council member serves a four-year term. The City Council meets on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month at Palm Desert City Hall, 73-510 Fred Waring Drive.
