Question Deadline 04/16/2024 at 4:00 PM ET Questions through Online Portal This project will consist of removal of approximately 1,200 Cubic Yards of sludge from the red beds at the Danielsville Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 1069 Municipal Road, Walnutport, PA 18088 and transportation of the sludge to an approved site. Equipment will not be allowed access onto the red beds. Contractor will also be responsible for replacement of existing wooden access gates with new wooden access gates (in kind). The Contractor shall be familiar with the route between the wastewater treatment plant and the disposal site, the traffic requirements needed for hauling the sludge, and the approved disposal site fees and hours of operation. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Lehigh Township Municipal Authority Award of Contract, if a Contract is awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, but the Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities. All current Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Standards and Specifications will prevail over all standards and specifications included in this contract. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner. The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body project. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, as set forth in the Contract Documents, must be paid to workmen employed on this project. In addition, the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or disability.
