Reference Number 0000350823 The Port of Oakland (Port) is soliciting competitive statements of qualifications (SOQ) for on-call marine engineering design services for federally funded projects. The Port has secured grant funding from the U.S. Department of Transportation, Marine Administration (MARAD). The Port intends to apply for additional federal grant funding from sources, including, but not limited to, the U.S. Department of Energy and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The firms selected will provide services for a four-year period with two one-year options to extend. The budget for all projects described is expected to not exceed $10,000,000 for all contracts over the initial 4-year term and any subsequent extensions. The selected firms are expected to be under contract with the Port by October 2024. Firms which submitted a Response to the RFQ for On-Call Marine Engineering Design Services for Non-Federally Funded Projects at the Port of Oakland may submit an SOQ for this solicitation, however, a firm selected under this RFQ is precluded from being selected for the Marine Engineering Design services for Non-Federally Funded Projects at the Port of Oakland contract. If a firm is among the highest ranked firms for both Requests and is selected for a contract, the Port retains the right to award that firm the contract that best serves the interests of the Port.
