Replace Fire Sprinkler Heads Lorain County Jail Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, cashier's check, or Letter of Credit equal to ten (10%) of the amount bid or a contract bond for the full amount of the bid, as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and a contract bond properly secured. Should any bid be rejected, such instrument will be forthwith returned upon proper execution of a contract. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities if it is deemed in the best interest of Lorain County to do so. Any interpretation, correction, or modification to the specifications desired shall be submitted in writing to J. In order to bid this project, you must be a plan holder of record with the Purchasing Department and you must attend the pre-bid meeting. All materials and equipment must meet the specifications prepared for the project by Glen W. Buelow, Inc. and contractors must follow the rules and procedures of the Lorain County Sheriff's Office. All contractors involved with this project will to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of this project. Bidders shall submit a list of equipment available; all labor shall be paid not less than the prevailing wage rate as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce; Wage and Hour Division for Lorain County. Replace all existing Central Sprinkler Omega C-1A PRP Prohibitor (recalled) institutional sprinklers. B. Replace with Reliable Sprinkler, Viking Corporation or Tyco Fire Protection Products tamper proof institutional sprinklers where institutional sprinklers exist.C. Inspect and verify all other upright, pendant, recessed pendant, concealed pendent and sidewall sprinklers, etc as to whether or not they are on the recall list. Tabulate results for LCCI D. Approximately 400 ( 383 sprinkler per 'As built' drawings) Central Sprinkler institutional sprinkler heads need replaced. Contractor SHALL field verify these numbers.
