The purpose of this Request for Proposal ("RFP") is to invite qualified bidders to prepare and submit proposals to furnish Smart Locker systems to the University of California San Diego ("UC San Diego" or "University"), in accordance with the requirements set forth in this RFP. Purpose of the RFP The purpose of this Request for Proposal ("RFP") is to invite qualified bidders to prepare and submit proposals to furnish Smart Locker systems to the University of California, San Diego ("UC San Diego" or "University"), in accordance with the requirements set forth in this RFP. The overall objective of this RFP is to select a supplier or suppliers to assist UC San Diego in establishing a cost effective and efficient program for smart locker system for the Revelle location. Qualified suppliers are invited to submit bids, based on the information provided in this RFP, with the intent to establish a business alliance with UC that will maximize the resources of both organizations to meet UC's needs most effectively. Supplier to submit intent to respond by confirming participation by April 3, 2024 Video Interview w/selected Suppliers Week of April 22-26 Notice of Intent to Award May 3, 2024 Contract Start Date May 20, 2024 Question Deadline 04/12/2024 at 5:00 PM PT. Deadline for Supplier Q&A via Discussion Forum. University's Response to Supplier Q&A April 16, 2024 The anticipated term of any agreement issued as a result of this RFP will be for an initial period of 2 years. The University may, at its option, exercise 3 additional one-year extensions for a total of 5 years on the same terms and conditions. UC reserves the right to contract with additional suppliers for the services described herein. The University RFP Administrator is the sole point of contact regarding all procurement and contractual matters relating to the requirements described in this RFP; and is the only office authorized to change, modify, clarify, etc., the specifications, terms and conditions of this RFP and any agreement(s) awarded as a result of this RFP. All questions and requests for clarification concerning this RFP should be entered into electronically by the questions deadline indicated in the Schedule of Events. University may waive irregularities in a bid provided in the judgment of the University, such action will not negate fair competition and will permit proper comparative evaluation of bids submitted. The University's waiver of an immaterial deviation or defect shall in no way modify the RFP documents or excuse the Supplier from full compliance with the RFP specifications in the event the Agreement is awarded to that Supplier. Supplier may suggest alternate like/similar product, UC San Diego must approve any substitutions.
