Site work and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in San Diego, California. Completed plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; and for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
As of January 3, 2025, a joint venture team has been awarded the Preconstruction Services Contract (Phase I). If an agreed upon price is reached in Phase I there will be a Phase II agreement requiring either a Design-Build type contract or a Construction contract (similar to CMGC type contract. A timeline for construction is not yet known. This project will design and construct a suicide deterrent, bridge bay enclosures, and CCTV monitoring cameras in accordance with the selected alternative and parameters included in the Final Environmental Document (FED) and Project Reports. In San Diego County in Coronado and San Diego on Route 75 from 0.4 mile south of begin of San Diego - Coronado Bay Bridge to Route 75/5 Separation and on Route 5 from 0.3 mile south to 0.2 mile north of Route 75/5 Separation.
