urnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the removal and replacement of the following: twenty-three pneumatic valve actuators with electric valve actuators, ten butterfly valves, filter air backwash supply piping, and filter media for four filters, along with associated electrical and controls and other incidental miscellaneous work in accordance with the plans and specifications. OPCC: $960,000 Work under the proposed Contract Documents shall be commenced upon written Notice to Proceed to be issued on or before May 24, 2024 and shall be substantially completed and ready for operation on or before March 14, 2025, and shall be fully completed on or before April 18, 2025, subject to any extension of time, which may be granted by the Owner. The Contractor's certified check or Bid Bond shall be in an amount equal to Five (5) percent of the amount of the Bid, made payable to the Owner. The check may be cashed for the full amount by the Owner or the Bid Bond forfeited in the full amount to the Owner as liquidated damages in the event the successful Bidder fails to enter into contract and file acceptable bonds satisfactory to the Owner assuring the faithful fulfillment of the contract and maintenance of said improvements as required by law within Ten (10) days after the acceptance of the Bid The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Warranty Bond and a Payment Bond, each in an amount equal to One Hundred (100) percent of the contract price. Said bonds to be issued by a responsible Surety approved by the Owner and shall guarantee that the Principal shall promptly make payment to all persons, firms, Subcontractors, and corporations furnishing materials for or performing labor in the performance of the Work stated and the faithful performance of the contract and the terms and conditions therein contained and the guarantee and maintenance of said facilities in good repair and working conditions for not less than Two (2) year(s) from the Notice of Acceptability of such improvements by the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to readvertise for Bids or to defer action on the Bids received for a period not to exceed 45 days from and after the date and time specified in this Notice to Bidders for receiving said Bids, and to waive irregularities and informalities.
