The department will not hold retention on this project. Per Utah state code as 13-8-5 (1) prime contractors cannot hold retention. Refer to Utah code as 13-8-5 (1) for more information. wage rates: apply Engineer's estimate: Greater than $3m but less than or equal $4m Mandatory prequalification required (qualified health insurance required) Each bidder must submit an electronic bid bond from an approved surety company using udot's bidding Businesssystem or in lieu thereof, cash, certified check, or cashier's check for not less than 5% of the total amount Of the bid, made payable to the utah department of transportation, showing evidence of good faith and a guarantee That if awarded the contract, the bidder will execute the contract and furnish the contract bonds as required.
