Reference Number 0000346995 The Town of Basalt (Town) is accepting proposals from qualified firms and contractors for the removal and replacement of two sections of sidewalk for the 2024 Concrete Sidewalk Repairs Project. As part of the Public Works Sidewalk Concrete Replacement Project the Town is seeking to retain the services of a firm or contractor to provide: A. Excavation, removal, and haul off existing concrete. B. Form and pour new sidewalk using a class D CDOT specification mix with fiber mesh added. C. Provide signage, detours, and traffic control during the project to meet all Town of Basalt Specifications. One section of sidewalk on Willits Lane does not have a sidewalk on the other side of the roadway so a specific plan on how to get those pedestrians safely around the project will need to be shown and drawn out in the traffic control plan. The areas to be addressed are pictured in the attached Exhibit A. A schedule for design will be discussed and negotiated with the firm selected for the project. The sidewalk repairs to be addressed as part of this project are pictured in the attached Exhibit A. The Town assumes that the project will involve three steps, the first step will be the setup of traffic control and pedestrian safety routes, as outlined below. Task 1. Setup appropriate Traffic control and pedestrian safe routes prior to start of work. Task 2. Remove and haul off existing damaged concrete sections. Task 3. Replace Concrete with CDOT and Town of Basalt Approved Concrete Specs
