Renovation of a municipal facility in Paola, Kansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

**As of May 3, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded sometime in May 14th.** The City of Paola, KS will receive sealed bids until the date and time stated above for the renovation and modernization work at this 2-story, masonry building in downtown Paola. The work includes selective demolition work, concrete work for foundations, slab floors and exterior pavement, new wood framed structure, new storefront, new interior stair, finishes, doors, and other items as indicated on the plans and specifications. For all construction and equipment contracts, the bidder shall be required to submit with the bid a negotiable bid guarantee not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. The competency and responsibility of bidders will be considered in awarding the contract, and the Owner reserves the right to reject any bids and waive irregularity in bidding. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bid if reasonable, and if it is in the interest of the Owner to accept it. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Owner. The bidder to whom a Contract is awarded will be required to furnish acceptable Performance, Payment and Statutory Bonds each in the amount of the total contract price, in conformity with the requirements of the Contract Document.
