The work for which bids are being requested consists of the following: Water meter replacements. Water service inspections consisting of the following: Complete two exterior verifications at each property according EGLE guidelines and the project specifications, including identification of material type and completion of a Survey123 electronic questionnaire and photos of each verification. Includes notifying property owners of verification work to be completed on private property as specified herein. If necessary, complete one (1) interior verification at each property according EGLE guidelines and the project specifications, including identification of material type and completion of a Survey123 electronic questionnaire and photos of each verification. Includes coordinating and scheduling interior inspection with property owner. Most (if not all) interior inspections are planned to be completed by the Owner. A miscellaneous quantity of interior inspections has been included in this Contract in the case unforeseen circumstances arise and the Owner cannot complete all the necessary interior inspections. This project entails examination of existing plumbing and therefore the Contractor will not be considered a formal "Plumbing Inspector." Proof of Master Plumber license will not be necessary to complete this work. A certified check or bank draft drawn on a solvent bank in the State of Michigan payable without condition to the OWNER, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and a surety company, in an amount equal to 5 percent of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. Neither the OWNER nor the ENGINEER will be responsible for partial sets of documents obtained from any other source. The Advertisement for Bids, Plan Holder's List, all Addenda, and the Bid Tabulation will also be posted on the Wightman website No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days to allow for the review of proposals and to allow completion of necessary financial arrangements. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price. Bond forms are included in the Contract Documents.
