This specification covers fast-dry white and yellow acrylic latex traffic marking paints which contain a mixture of pigmented binder and glass bead which are thoroughly mixed together in a uniform condition ready for use for application on concrete and bituminous pavements at spray temperatures of up to 125 F. When applied at pavement temperatures above 50 F and at relative humidity of up to 75 percent, the paint shall dry to a no-track condition within 3 minutes. The paints shall be free of lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium or any other toxic heavy metals. The term premixed reflectorized traffic paint shall refer to paint which contains a mixture of pigmented binder and glass beads. The term pigmented binder refers to the pigment and vehicle. The term glass bead refers to glass spheres. This pre-mixed reflectorized traffic paint is ready for use. Four (4) pounds adherence coating, are dropped on the line at the time of application. The Quantities of Work are: 2,266 gals of 4" Reflectorized Edgeline Pavement Marking Paint - White & 1,338 gals of 4" Reflectorized Centerline Pavement Marking Paint - Yellow. Bids will be awarded on Tuesday, April 16th, 2024 at the regular Rock County Board of Commissioners Meeting held in the Law Library at the Rock County Courthouse. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or corporate surety bond drawn in favor of the Rock County Treasurer in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the proposal.
