Modifications to Mead Library to Accommodate installation of a Self-Service Kiosk The City of Sheboygan is soliciting sealed bids for improvements to prepare the building for installation of a self-service kiosk in the West exterior wall of Mead Public Library. The work associated with this contract is generally described as follows: Creation of a suitable opening in the West exterior wall of the building to allow for installation of a powered self-service kiosk by others. Additional work includes provision and installation of a lighted weather canopy, installation of a speed table in the alley west of the building in the area of the kiosks, sidewalk improvements, electrical and data provisions and signage. The base bid will include all necessary labor, travel, permits, materials and disposal. Bid Security, in the form of a Certified Check, cashiers' check or Bid Bond in an amount equal to 5% of the bid amount shall accompany each bid and a performance and payment bond equivalent to 100% of the Bid price shall be required. Bidders should include an electronic image copy of the executed bid bond or check in their submission. In order to be considered, bidders must have on file a Valid Bidders Proof of Responsibility form with the Office of the City Engineer not less than five days prior to the Bid Due Date. Forms are included in the bid documents. No Pre-Bid Conference will be held. Bidders are expected to inspect the work area on their own during normal Library operating hours on an appointment basis. Appointments may be made by contacting the purchasing office. In addition, bidders shall have on file a Bidders Proof of Responsibility with the City Engineer no less than five days prior to the bid due date a copy of which is included with the bid documents. All bids received shall remain in effect for not less than 60 days beyond the bid due date. The City of Sheboygan reserves the right to reject any bids received, cancel this solicitation, waive any informality associated with the bid process and award the bid deemed most advantageous to the City of Sheboygan.
