Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Penfield, New York. Completed plans call for the construction of a municipal facility; 75,000-square-foot parking garage; for site work for a parking garage; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; service station / car wash facility; service station / car wash facility; and for the demolition of a parking garage.
Construction of a new pre-engineered Highway Garage/DPW building of approximately 75,000 SF a new Fuel Station, three new fabric covered storage facilities for salt, sand, and topsoil, and a new pole barn. The new buildings will be located at the current Town DPW site located on Jackson Road in Penfield, NY. The new DPW garage will be a pre-engineered metal building including insulated metal wall/roof panels, storefront doors/windows, partial height reinforced masonry exterior walls, and a shallow foundation system consisting of concrete foundation walls and footings. The new DPW spaces include a main garage (vehicle parking), a maintenance/repair area, an administrative office area, and storage mezzanines. Demolition of the existing storage barns and DPW garage will be required with limited hazmat abatement needed. Site improvements will include asphalt drive areas, concrete walks/pads, grading, oil-water separator, fencing, sub-surface utilities, stormwater structures, and landscaping. This project will be performed under Wicks Law and will require a total of five (5) prime contracts. General Construction shall include architectural and site scope of work. Other primes will include Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical (HVAC) and Fuel Station Construction. All inquiries pertaining to this project are to be directed to MRB Group, not to the Town of Penfield. The DPW site will remain owner-occupied throughout the duration of construction and construction phasing will be required. Project has an expected duration of 810 days.
