This Agreement shall take effect upon execution by both Parties and continue in full force and effect for the period required for completion of the duties as set forth in the Scope of Services. Performance for the Project. Services shall commence upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed by the Owner's Representative, who shall be so designated in writing by the Owner and shall terminate upon substantial completion of Consultant's duties as set forth in the Scope of Services and written acceptance by the Owner of the work product and services rendered unless extension or earlier termination shall occur pursuant to any of the provisions hereof. The College of the Mainland (hereinafter known as Owner or College) is seeking statements of qualifications from qualified Engineering Professional Service providers to provide Hazardous Material and Environmental Consulting Services as described herein. The Owner is utilizing the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) method of procurement in accordance with Tex. Gov't Code 2269.058 and the Professional Services Procurement Act, Chapter 2254 of the Tex. Gov't Code, specifically Section 2254.004. B. The selected Respondents will be placed in a pool of qualified consultants. Work will be assigned on an as-needed basis. C. In general, the Owner considers the relevant Professional Services to consist of hazardous material and environmental consulting services, to include (but not limited to) performing the following tasks: 1. Asbestos surveys 2. Prepare abatement project specifications 3. Oversee abatement activities 4. Advise Owner on other environmental risks (mold, lead-based paint, etc.) 5. Perform analytical testing in support of above mentioned services 6. Services as requested by the Owner Owner Rights: Owner reserves the right to reject any or all submittals, to negotiate changes in the scope of the work or services to be provided, to withhold the award for any reason it may determine, at its sole discretion, and to waive or decline to waive any technicalities or irregularities in any SOQ. SOQs shall not include any information regarding Respondent's fees, pricing or other compensation and no such information will be considered by the Owner. Question Deadline 04/10/2024 at 2:00 PM CT
