The City of Ames is accepting bids from qualified vendors for routine and emergency scaffolding services including scaffolding, bracing and fall protection for the Ames Electric Services Power Plant, located at 200 E. 5th Street, Ames, Iowa. First term of contract shall be from July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025. The contract is renewable for up to four (4) additional one-year terms. All responses must be submitted before the deadline. No late responses will be reviewed. No bidder may withdraw their bid for at least sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids. The City of Ames reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to make such awards as it shall deem to be in the best interest of the City. Question Deadline 04/22/2024 at 5:00 PM CT Bids will be opened and, unless obviously non-responsive, recorded following the receipt of bids. A preliminary summary of bids will be available to bidders after bid opening. If considered necessary by the Procurement Specialist, responses to questions about the meaning or intent of the bidding documents will be issued by addenda. Addenda will be distributed to all parties recorded by the City as having received the bidding documents. Document note: Complete sets of bidding documents may be obtained from Ames Bids at online. Bidding documents obtained from any other source may be incomplete. Complete sets of bidding documents shall be used in preparing bids.
