A timeline for award has not yet been established. 2024 Roadway Improvements Mass DOT prequalification of contractors with the class of work as, Highway Construction, for the project with an estimated value of $2,350,000 will be required. Question Deadline 04/05/2024 Any questions or concerns must be received no later than 7 days prior to the bid opening to Tim Wilson (781-246-6309) or via email. The Director of Public Works reserves the right to reject any and all bids if, in his sole judgement, the best interest of the Town of Wakefield would be served by so doing. The Contract Time to complete all work shall be 365 Calendar Days commencing ten (10) days following the Effective Date of Notice to Proceed. The work under this contract shall consist of: removal and replacement of existing cement concrete and asphalt sidewalks and granite curbing, construction of new cement concrete and asphalt sidewalks, constructing accessible curb ramps, pavement milling and overlay of existing bituminous concrete pavement of the roadways, installation of drainage and water infrastructure, and appurtenant work.
