Wood Power Pole Inspection & Treatment Services Bidders shall be licensed with proper endorsements with the State of Oregon Construction Contractors Board (CCB) prior to bidding. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in bid rejection. Contractor is required to have a minimum of five years in the in-service pole inspection and treatment business. Contractor shall have pole inspection and treatment experience in the Northwest. Contractor must have documented programs/policies conforming to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the Department of Transportation (DOT), along with all federal and state pesticide regulations. All pole and/or treating inspectors performing the work shall be trained and experienced a minimum of six months in inspection, treatment and reinforcement of wood poles and shall have an Oregon Department of Agriculture Pesticide Applicator's license. MW&L reserves the right to review and approve evidence of previous experience and training. The general nature of the work is to provide inspection, evaluation, preservative treatment and identification as to condition of wood power poles that are currently in place in MW&L's service territory. The awarded contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, tools, equipment and materials necessary or required for the inspection and ground line treatment of poles. MW&L will furnish awarded contractor with maps showing locations of poles that are to be inspected. Approximately 5,200 wood power poles are to be inspected over the three-year term (approximately one-third in each of the three years). The price agreement shall commence on May 1, 2024 and expire on August 30, 2026.
