As of April 25, 2024, This project has been awarded to New Enterprise Stone & Lime, with the awarded amount of$472,738.45. 2024 Roadwork - Includes 2081 SY of Base Repair (3" - 25mm Base Course), placement of 3/4 "-9.5mm Leveling Course (appx. 94 tons), and placement of 1-1/2" - 9.5mm Wearing Course overlay (appx. 379 Tons), 196 SY milling of bridge deck wearing course, 196 SY elastomer waterproofing membrane and 428 LF bridge joint grouting as specified in the Bid Documents. And the following option as specified in the Bid Documents, which may also be awarded: Option 1: Includes 265 SY of Base Repair (5" - 25mm Base Course), placement of 2-1/2" tapering to 1-1/2" - 19 mm Leveling Course (appx. 1940 tons), and placement of 1-1/2" - 9.5mm Wearing Course overlay (appx. 1581 Tons), as specified in the Bid Documents. Deadline to submit Questions Apr 19th 2024, 12:00 PM EDT A pre-bid review/inspection with the Township Engineer at Technicon Enterprises is required on one of the dates specified in bid documents. Work must be completed by September 30, 2024. Liquidated damages apply at a rate of $500.00 per calendar day. A certified check or bank draft, payable to Heidelberg Township or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid shall be submitted with the bid. In addition, the following documents must be included with the bid package: proof of PennDOT prequalification and anti-collusion affidavit. A performance bond or certified check in the amount of 100% of the contract price shall be furnished by the successful bidder within 20 days after contract is awarded. In addition, the following documents must be submitted within twenty (20) days of award: workman's compensation affidavit, insurance certificate, CDL compliance certificate, payment bond, and public works employee verification. Heidelberg Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids submitted or any part thereof or item therein that may not be in the public's best interest. The Township also reserves the right to waive any defects, errors, omissions, irregularities or informalities in bids received.
