he Department of Military Affairs intends to award on one-time contract with a Responsible Contractor for the purpose of Rebid Furnish and Installation of twelve (12) window units in the Chapel (Bldg. 10-98) located at Camp Ripley Training Center (CRTC), Little Falls, MN (further defined and in accordance with Exhibit C of the Sample Contract.) The State reserves the right to cancel this solicitation if it is considered in its best interest. The State reserves the right to require the Contractor to provide the original surety bond to the State. If such a request is made, the Contractor must submit the original surety bond within seven (7) calendar days upon receipt of the request. If the original surety bond is not received within seven (7) calendar days of receipt of the request, the State may take action including rejection of the response or cancellation of the contract for cause. Reject any and all responses received; Waive or modify any informalities, irregularities, or inconsistencies in the responses received; Require responders to conduct presentations, demonstrations, or submit samples Award by location or item, including category, by groups of items, or all items (therefore, the responder is encouraged to offer a response for all locations or items); and Interview key personnel or references. Responses that exceed $50,000.00 must be accompanied by a surety bond of a surety company duly authorized to do business in the State of Minnesota; in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the response, which is submitted as a solicitation security conditioned upon the Responder entering into a contract with the State of Minnesota in accordance with the terms of the solicitation. Responders must upload a copy of their surety bond as prompted in the solicitation. The State reserves the right to require the Contractor to provide the original surety bond to the State.
