oThe Title of this Project is: Back-flow Preventer Installation @ Sites LA 40-1,2,&3 - St. Martinville - 2022 CFP, St. Martinville, LO. oEach bona fide bidder is required to comply with provisions and requirements of LA R.S.A38: 2212(A)(1)(c). No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after receipt of bids, except under the provisions of LA R.S. 38:2214 or without the consent of the Housing Authority. oThe Work for this project is generally described as the following: installation of new backflow preventers of the owner side of the main water meter, concrete pad, insulated backflow enclosure, and other necessary and required work for proper installation as described in the specifications and construction documents. oThe Owner requires the Architect to issue Substantial Completion of the Work on or before 75 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. Thereafter, liquidated damages will be charged. oA Bid Security (a certified check or bank draft made payable to the Housing Authority, U. S. Government Bonds, or satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and acceptable Sureties) in the amount of 5% of the highest possible bid amount is required. Bids are required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 30 days after submittal. Submit bids on the Bid Form provided. Refer to Document 00 21 13 Instructions to Bidders and 00 43 93 Bid Submittal Checklist for additional information. oAttention is called to the provisions for equal employment opportunity, and payment of not less than the minimum salaries and wages set forth in the specifications under the Davis-Bacon Act must be paid on this project. The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause. Bidders should be aware that the project is funded by Capital Fund Program of the Department of Housing & Urban Development of the Government of the United States. Document Notes : oContract documents are available free of charge in pdf format from the office of the Architect. All prime contractors are required to register with the Architect prior to receiving contract documents. Hard copies of the documents will not be provided. Partial sets of Construction Documents will not be issued. Sub-bidders may obtain copies of Construction Documents from prime contractor's or by registering with the Architect for electronic pdf documents. Construction Documents are available, for review only, at the Central Office of the Housing Authority. No copies will be provided to any contractor from the office of the Housing Authority. The successful contractor will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds. oThe successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds. oThe site is available for examination by Bidders and Sub-bidders, by appointment only, any time during working hours. The Bidders and Sub-bidders shall notify the Architect and the Owner 72-hours prior to visiting the site for coordination of Owner's operation.
